Nayaro exists to do two things well at the same time: build software that businesses rely on, and train the people who will build the next lot of it — without either one becoming a sideline.
Why we exist
The gap we kept running into.
In this part of Nepal there is no shortage of people who want to work in technology, and no shortage of businesses that need software. What has been missing is the middle: places where someone can learn to build properly without moving to Kathmandu, and small firms that will take a modest project seriously.
Nayaro is our attempt at both, run out of one office so that neither can drift into theory. The people teaching a course on Tuesday are the people shipping a client feature on Wednesday.
We are early, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up. What we can promise is the standard of the work, not the size of the company.

Four things we are not flexible about.
Teaching and building belong together
A trainer who has not shipped anything recently teaches yesterday's habits. A developer who never has to explain their work stops noticing what is confusing about it. Doing both keeps each honest.
Small and finished beats large and pending
We would rather deliver a narrow thing that works this month than a broad thing that is nearly ready for a year.
Say the unwelcome thing early
A scope that is wrong is cheapest to fix in the first conversation. We would rather lose the project than take on work we cannot do well.
Talent does not need to leave Morang
There is no technical reason serious software work has to happen in Kathmandu. We are testing that in the most direct way available: by doing it here.

Serious technology work does not have to happen in Kathmandu. We started here because this is where we are from, and because a student in Morang should not have to move to the capital to learn something real.
Every person who trains here and stays here is one more reason the next company does not have to leave either. The standard is the same. The address is just different.
